Nervousness, an unfortunate moment at a junction, a foot on the ground during the slalom \u2013 that is what decides between passing and coming back, not between being suitable and unsuitable. Your passed theory test remains valid \u2013 but its clock is ticking: <strong>12 months from passing<\/strong> Have you got time to do the practical test, otherwise you will also have to retake the theory test. Your special driving lessons and your entire training also remain valid \u2013 you only retake the test, not the driving school. The most frequent patterns: mistakes in the <a href=\"\/en\/guide\/basic-driving-manoeuvres\/\">basic driving exercises<\/a> (foot put down, cone knocked over, emergency braking too hesitant), the <strong>forgotten shoulder check<\/strong> when changing lanes or turning, right-of-way and traffic light errors due to nervousness \u2013 or the underestimated opposite: <strong>driving too hesitantly<\/strong>, which does not demonstrate a safe driving style to the examiner. Important for your mindset: state the reason precisely (\u201eI forgot to do the shoulder check when turning\u201c) instead of generally (\u201eI just can't do it\u201c). Was it a driving error: deliberately head straight into situations exactly like that.<\/li><li><strong>Exam day:<\/strong> same routine as in driving lessons, be there early, warm up if possible \u2013 and in case of doubt, it's better to ask once (asking via radio is allowed and not a mistake).<\/li><\/ul><p>There are two mistakes you should avoid: the appointment <strong>rush things<\/strong>, before the cause is trained \u2013 and him <strong>putting it off forever<\/strong>, although deadlines, season and confidence work against it. Two to four weeks after the failed attempt is the sweet spot for most. Besides, among motorcyclists, the phrase \u201eI failed the first time\u201c almost always triggers the same reaction: a story of their own about their own test. Anyone who looks down on you for a failed attempt has simply forgotten what a test situation feels like. Legally, nothing changes: no ban, no additional test, no limit.
