To be honest
Why we don't quote a flat rate
How much your driving licence costs in total depends above all on your practice lessons – and those are different for everyone. The components above are fixed; you plan everything else realistically with your driving instructor. The only exception: B196 is available as a genuine fixed price.
Plus (not paid to us): Eye test, first-aid course, passport photo, the administrative fees for the driving licence application as well as the TÜV testing fees. B196 exception: There, the eye test, first-aid course and exam fees do not apply – leaving only a biometric passport photo and the driving licence office's fee for the registration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Prices: short answer
Why don't you quote a fixed price?
Because it is not possible to give a reliable total price across the board for motorcycle categories subject to testing – and a fixed price would not be honest either: nobody knows before training how many practical lessons will be needed, and those are precisely what determine the final price. The good news with a motorcycle: you generally already know the traffic rules from your car driving licence, so you concentrate almost entirely on handling the machine. Exception B196: there, the scope is legally prescribed (4 theory and 5 practical sessions of 90 minutes each), which is why a complete price is possible. It covers your entire training with us.
What is NOT included in the price?
Eye test, first-aid course, passport photo, the driving licence office fees and the TÜV testing fees – you pay those directly to the respective bodies. For B196, the eye test, first-aid course and testing fees do not apply; there you only need a biometric-compatible photograph and you pay the driving licence office fee for the endorsement.
How can I pay?
Cash, girocard (formerly EC card), credit card or bank transfer. We do not offer payment in instalments.
